Configuration

Configure LucentraCode for your project.

Set project instructions, permissions, agents, and integrations.

Project Configuration

Configuration can define things such as:

json
{
  "mcp": {
    "my-server": {
      "type": "local",
      "command": ["node", "server.js"]
    }
  },
  "permission": {
    "edit": "ask"
  },
  "instructions": [
    "AGENTS.md"
  ]
}
  • •project instructions
  • •permissions
  • •custom agents
  • •MCP servers
  • •formatters
  • •language tooling

AGENTS.md

Use AGENTS.md for repository-specific instructions such as:

  • •architecture and coding conventions
  • •important files and directories
  • •tests and required commands

Permissions & MCP

Permission controls can pause for approval, but they are not a security sandbox. Only connect MCP servers you trust.

  • •Review permissions before running in an unfamiliar repository.
  • •Check what each MCP server can read and change.

Custom Agents

Custom agents can be tailored for specific responsibilities, workflows, or permissions.

bash
lucentracode agent create

Security Boundary

Repository configuration cannot silently replace LucentraCode's core gateway or account credential through ordinary project configuration.
